Let's Meet

We are a down-to-earth, friendly group of people.

Even if you're trying to get the rest of your family to check-out Hilltop, but the excuses seem to pile up-- just come and take your faith step. Seek the Kingdom first. Be the change you desire.

Don't have a Bible, don't let that stop you. We have a Bible for you.

Don't have "fancy church clothes"-- doesn't matter. Wear what is comfortable to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sunday Service

Sunday service begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends around Noon, as the Holy Spirit leads. Contemporary praise and worship occurs for about thirty minutes with the pastor's message following. A large screen will display the music lyrics to assist those in worshiping the Lord. There are also flags representing the Lord's promises that can be waved.

Tuesday Prayer & Thursday Youth Group

On Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., we hold prayer for all who want to participate in prayer as a church family. "Where two or more gather in my name, there I am with them" (Matthew 18:20).

On Thursdays, we get together in Fellowship Groups and study God's Word reading passages from the Bible and other literature. Children, teens and adults are welcome to attend. View the calendar for specific dates.

Bible Studies & Adult Classes

Bible studies and adult learning classes take place throughout the year, as announced in the calendar and bulletin.

Parking

The parking lot is located behind the church, near the entry doors, making it convenient to park and enter. Handicap accessible parking, or if you need a closer spot, is available.

Communion

As the Bible teaches, we take communion in remembrance of Him and of our covenant. All are welcome to partake. We serve an individual small cup of juice and an individual small bread cracker. These are brought to you at your seats by the ushers. Jesus said, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." And, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” (Matthew 26:26-28, Luke 22:19-20)

Coat Room

You may hang coats/jackets in the designated racks near the kitchen/hospitality area, or you may keep them with you while in the sanctuary.

Refreshments & Potlucks

The kitchen/hospitality area has coffee/tea and juice available in the morning on Sunday. As announced, we may hold lunch following Sunday service for those who want to eat together with the Hilltop Family-- a great time to meet others.

Children's Ministry

The children's area and nursery are available. Children may sit with their family in the sanctuary during the entire service, or can be dismissed after praise and worship for a special lesson, at approximately 11:00 am. Please see Pastors Joe or Marie if you have any special concerns they can address in helping to make you and your children comfortable.

Donations, Tithes, Offering

If you are led to give to the Lord, envelopes are located in the chair pockets in the sanctuary. Or, you may mail a donation or give online. Typically, after praise and worship an offering plate is passed by ushers. We will pray over the offering and church leaders will blow the ancient Shofar over the collection. Annual receipts will be provided in January for your tax purposes. Please contact our office for questions, assistance, or making other donation arrangements. God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7).

Other Services- Wedding, Catering, Special Events

The church building may be utilized for community services. Pastor Marie can officiate your wedding at the location of your choosing, or you can host your wedding and/or catering at the church. Funerals and Celebration of Life ceremonies are offered. We have partnered with other organizations to support special details for your events, and have a list of preferred partner organizations.

What is a Shofar?

A Shofar is a ram's horn blown like a trumpet, and is mentioned in the Bible many times. Its symbolism is profound-- the sound that stirs remembrance, victory, sacrifice, multiplication, awakening/alarm and God's triumph over all.

Baptism and Dedication

We offer dedication services to be formally dedicated to the Lord. We also offer full-submersion baptism in a near-by lake. These are worthwhile moments in your faith journey. Contact Pastors Joe or Marie to provide you with more information.

What is your current church size?

Hilltop is a growing body of Christ that is considered to be an "ideal size" congregation to support fellowship and meaningful friendships. Enjoy a small-to-medium church size where you are genuinely greeted, and you set the pace that's comfortable in how quickly you want to get to know others and expand your network. Many people mention on how nice it is that the pastors will meet with you/your family if someone is in distress, sick in the hospital, or for counseling. You can contact the Hilltop Pastors for support at any time. Lifelong friends are made at Hilltop. Your interests matter and can be included into activities and events, as the church is truly all of us. We hope to see you on Sunday!

How do you get saved/salvation/eternal life?

Simply put: believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross and arose (resurrected) offering salvation/eternal life for those who seek, believe and confess this faith that He is your Savior. “I (Jesus Christ) am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever (You) believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Through Jesus we have victory over problems, plagues, sin, death, disease, setbacks, and so on.

"Abide in Me, and I in you [Remain in Me and My words remain in you-- that we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart]. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me" (John 15:7).

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ... "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:9-13).

Outside Activities

The Hilltop Family gets together for activities outside of church too. We have enjoyed campfires, boating trips, bean bag competitions, game nights, movie nights, attending conferences and community events, potlucks, tent revivals, and holiday celebrations.
